Pre-qualification starts the mortgage loan process if you are
shopping for real estate in Central Oregon. This step is
not necessary for a refinance or if you have already found the
home you wish to purchase.
In this step we will collect information about your income,
current housing expenses, current other debt, and cash
available for this transaction. Merlot Mortgage then
imports that information to an automated underwriting system
that can provide a conditional approval in a matter of
minutes. This first step in the process allows a borrower
to look for a property they are approved to purchase.
